Background:

DH and I are seasoned cruisers with RCI and Princess, and DH has been all over the world.. I started traveling outside the US when I turned 50 and am trying to make up for lost time. This was our third European cruise - the first two were Med itineraries, both on RCI (Splendour and Brilliance). It was our second cruise on Jewel - we sailed a B2B in November.

We did lots of research on the CC threads and relied heavily on the Rick Steves and Eyewitness guides to London, Scandinavia and St. Petersburg. All proved to be invaluable.
