This was a 6-day western sail, to Freeport/Bahamas, Grand Cayman and Costa Maya. It was a "Chick Cruise" with 9 women and 3 little girls (ages 3, 4 and 4). I am a 35-year-old mom of one a 4-year old.

Prior to the cruise we stayed at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper. The hotel is a little outdated, and not the cleanest property. But you can't beat the location. The beach was gorgeous and the pool was warm and clean. They called us a van to get us to the port ($7 per person).

Embarkation took a long time, but that was our fault. We had a party of 12 - and had booked one past guest in each of our four cabins (to get a discount), but we wanted to switch cabins and sleep with different people than we had booked with. Serita, the desk agent at the port, was able to switch it all for us and get us the correct keys and individual S&S accounts, right there - so we did not need to see the purser to switch things onboard.
