Wow, what a trip! My wife and I decided on this cruise for our honeymoon. I had been to Honolulu before and didn't enjoy the metropolis that it had become, so we figured that we could see all the islands, keep it all tropical and experience a cruise for the first time at a great price.

Hotel: We arrived two days early and decided to stay at the Waikiki Sand Villa Inn, located across from the Ali Wai waterway. We weren't expecting much as we found a great deal on it, but our room was clean, and there was a nice little bar downstairs where we met some locals as well as travelers from all over. An easy walk to Waikiki beach and most of downtown Waikiki. We rented a car and did a circle of the island of Oahu, hitting picturesque Hunama Bay, Lanakai Beach, then up to the North Shore and Hale'iwa for lunch and shopping and then down the West side of the island to Ko Olina for the Paradise Cove Luau, which didn't disappoint.

Ship info: As I have said, we had never been on a cruise, so we didn't know what to be critical of...I just can't see spending all that money to gripe and moan about what a cruise ship doesn't have or provide. What a waste. Luckily, we didn't find many people like that on the ship as they are a drag and really end up being the worst part of any trip like this always complaining. We checked in early, and got to our room without any trouble. We were upgraded to a balcony the week before the trip and what a great bonus! The room was bigger than we thought and it had everything we needed.
