My voyage was from July 7-14 2007 on the Freedom of the Seas. I must say the boat is very elegant and beautiful. I am a first timer on Royal Caribbean, and it exceeds Carnival(Conquest) in many ways. The boarding went pretty smooth, went to our room, 2 adults and one child ocean-view very nice with a bit more room. Our stateroom attendant, Arlene, was very helpful. Dwi, table host, did everything he could to make our meals enjoyable. Entertainment is spectacular always something to do. Carnival allows you to eat in the casual dining area until late, versus RC closes at 930 pm. Then you have pizza, pastries, coffee, water and sandwiches. I bought my own bottled water you will need it for the hot days. I did not like the ideal that the casino allows children to walk through and even play. One night I saw a parent have the 4 year old press the buttons and just sit and play need more supervision in the gaming. No washer and dryer so be prepared for dry-cleaning service. Almost everything you purchase except store goods, gifts, and alcohol has a gratuity 15% so be prepared. The adult swimming pool is very nice, no children running around and it seem to go up to 6 ft. San Juan was the best. You don't get off the boat until 300pm and you have to be back on for 930pm. Go to the mall, it is huge and has all the stores even though it is not in their things to do. San Juan should be an all day trip but I guest RC would not make any money. I did not care for Labadee. The itinerary needs to be changed. It is a big beach that RC owns. The people are very poor and are all over you to buy their goods. Other than that I am awaiting the next new boat and would gladly board again.
