This was our very first cruise ever. DH, myself and our sons, 19 & 20. My son and I are the vacation planners for the family and we agreed that Disney would be the best 4-night cruise. Friends had gone on this cruise before and said that although it is a Disney cruise, the kids are kept occupied and you rarely see them. I didn't find this to be the case. However, Disney does an excellent job with keeping the adult areas free of children. I found it entertaining to watch the little ones having fun, but appreciated having a quiet spot.

We flew down the day before and were shuttled over to Country Inns by FL Tours. They were right there in the baggage area waiting for us. The hotel called us a taxi and we toured Cocoa Beach and had dinner at Florida Seafood (great chowder). Country Inns shuttled us over to the ship at about 11 a.m. Short wait going through security and another short wait for registration and then we were on the ship. The first night was a little rough, but manageable. We were amazed with how quiet the rooms were. Nassau was worth visiting because of the Atlantis, but I would not consider going there again. Castaway Cay - just beautiful. We went to the adult beach and it was amazing. There were umbrellas, chaise lounges, & hammocks. You also had your lunch served there. It was awesome! We came back onto the ship early and went to the indoor theater to see "Wild Hogs". That night was the pirate party. Fireworks followed by Pirates 2 playing on the outdoor screen and Pirates 3 in the indoor theater. Then we had one day at sea. Our sons loved the towel animals so they went to the towel origami class. That evening they surprised our cabin steward, Glen by making him a swan.

It was a wonderful time. Disney was the perfect cruise for a 4 night, but we would like more adult entertainment next time. Totally enjoyed the comedian/magician Rich Purpurra (sp?). We have already booked a 7 night for Mariner of the Seas next May. The Disney cruise was so wonderful, we hope the Mariner is a positive experience also. One note: we thought we would be overwhelmed with Disney stuff, but did not find that to be the case. OK, so I did come home singing "When you wish upon a star".
