Sail Date: Jun 2007
Traveled with children

DH and myself along with our DD 17, and DS 10 sailed on June 30, 2007. This was cruise #4 for DH and myself and cruise #3 for the kids, all with Carnival. Parking: We parked at the cruise terminal and it was well worth the $14 a day for the convenience of it.

Embarkment day: We parked about 11:00 and were on the boat by 12:45. we have never sailed in the summer so it was clear from the beginning that it indeed was summer, not bad just lots of people. We went to the Lido Deck for lunch, bought the kids drink cards $23 a piece, $4 a day plus 15%. We went to our rooms about 1:30 and they were ready. We checked the dining room out and walked around the boat. about 4:00 was the life boat drill, then back up for sail off after the drill. About 4:45 we went back to the rooms to unpack a little, all bags had arrived by that time. Then to supper at 5:45. At 7:15 we went to the Camp Carnival Orientation and bought both kids a Build a Buddy and t-shirt for $19.99 a piece and then each one an outfit for another$6. We took them back to the room and the kids stuffed them. They are cute and we felt worth the price.

Our rooms: We had two porthole rooms, M24 and M30. M30 was quite a bit bigger than M24. I was well pleased with the nice size of the portholes and it was not much different than the OV rooms we had always had before. We were well pleased with our room stewards. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day and we had towel animals everynight. The rooms looked very nice and seemed to have been updated recently. We love the bedding.
