Hubby and I went on Grandeur to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Embarkation in Baltimore was a breeze since we registered on line. We also booked our shore excursions on line which saved us a lot of time when we got on the ship. The ship is large enough to feel roomy and small enough to recognize some of your fellow passengers as you travel over the 9 days. Very clean, attractive public areas and our room steward, Nestor, did a fantastic job of cleaning our room. He did towel animals and kept us well supplied with clean linens. Interior stateroom was a bit small but had abundant storage and bed was comfy. Food was consistently good.

Our dining room staff:Romar, Evangeline and Nihad were friendly, professional and spoiled us rotten! Best dishes were seafood and chocolate desserts. Windjammer buffet was great for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. One sea day there was a poolside barbeque which had great chicken. We found all staff to be friendly and welcoming.

The ports of call were very nice with St John and Halifax giving us a bagpipe serenade. Whale watching was our favorite excursion (Bar Harbor). Not enough time in Boston--could have skipped Portland. The Portland lighthouses were lovely but we made the mistake of taking the Kennebunkport tour. Could not go past the Bush estate since the Russian president was there and we found the town to be a lot of overpriced shops with polite but not very friendly people.
