Sorry this has taken so long to get written, but here is my review of the Destiny June 10th. This is our fourth time on the Destiny. We really enjoy the southern caribbean and this time was just as great as the others. The last time we sailed her was 2 years ago. Since then the one thing I noticed was that they changed where the stage was. It used to be down on the bottom in front of the pool. Now there are more deck chairs there which makes it nice. Each cruise was a different itinerary, so we have been able to see alot of different islands.

We arrived in San Juan a day early and stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan. We got there at 1:00 and were able to go ahead and check in. We like this hotel, because of the convenience to Old San Juan and the Destiny, right across the street! We walked around some and found a nice bar/restaurant down between El Morro and the other fort. It was such a beautiful view and so cool with the breeze off the water. There was also a festival going on that night in the streets with music. We saw 2 of the bartenders from the bar we visited earlier and hung out with them for awhile. They were great fun! We love meeting the local people at the different place we visit.

The next morning we checked out at 12:00 and walked across the street with our luggage. We visited the duty free shop, got a few bottles and put in our carryon without any trouble at all. By 12:45 we were on the Lido Deck and enjoying a drink. We had walked down to our cabin prior to this (8333, 9A with wraparound balcony, Great room and balcony!), saw our room steward Don and put our carryon in the closet. Around 2:00 we went back to our room and it was all ready. Today was our 12th anniversary and I had the room decorated (compliments of Carnival 45 day letter) and also did the Anniversary Pack. It looked great and my husband was surprised. We then went back out in to Old San Juan and met back up with our new friends we had met the night before. Back to the ship and to the pool bar. Later was the muster drill and then sail away! That night, played blackjack in the casino. Great dealers and pit bosses. I did pretty good too!
