June 18th Voyage

The cruise was, as expected, routine in that it was perfectly executed. Upon arrival in Anchorage we quickly found the Princess ground transfer staff, and within 60 minutes were in the motor-coach bound for Whittier. The transfer was uneventful, except for the 15 minute wait at the one-way tunnel just before the harbor. Our transfer took about 2 hours, but other family members on a subsequent coach required more than 3 hours to make the trip due to delays at the airport and a longer wait at the tunnel.

The walk up the gangway took longer than the check-in process...nice. Really put in context my 2 hour wait last April for a Royal Caribbean - Freedom of the Seas cruise.
