We recently took the Norwegian Spirit from New York to Florida/Bahamas. As this is our third cruise we were using this as a test our first cruise was on NCL and our second on Royal Caribbean. After this cruise we have decided that we will probably always cruise on NCL. The food was great and varied, the cabin was perfect we had a balcony and now I am spoiled and will never cruise without one again. The entertainment was great, we especially enjoyed Sharkbait they put on a great show the juggling was entertaining for the whole family, the adult scavenger hunt called the Quest was hilarious. As far as service, NCL was above and beyond better than Royal Caribbean, drinks were served promptly, refills without asking and we had absolutely no problems even disembarkation was quick. We went on two excursions, both of which were well planned and easy to get to, their private island was interesting, although it was overcast we enjoyed walking around. The ship was quite nice and easy to figure out which way to go and where you were. My husband wanted me to add the food was great and the meals in the buffet were not the same as the ones in the dining rooms. His only complaint is that he wishes we could have spent more time in the different ports. In conclusion I would cruise on NCL all the time.
