hi. this was our first time cruising as a family and it was absolutely fantastic.

EMBARKATION: great. most guests get on in puerto rico so only a few of us were there, and everyone was out enjoying our beautiful island of Barbados.Thus, extremely quick. Only problem is that the cruise is themed around those who came on earlier, and so we missed out on stuff like the sailaway party, and its a little annoying when they sing 'I'm leaving on a jet plane' and make farewell speeches in the dining room on the second night. (altho it was kinda nice to see them go while WE were staying...hohoho)only problem is we found the security check in baggage etc area to be colorfully tacky. man, move the fishes man.

THE SHIP: absolutely gorgeous. don't really know what people mean about carnivals "neon" style. seemed very elegant to me.got lost a few times...all added to the fun! Read more
