I would not take this cruise line into consideration for my future vacations. We took this ship June 10th to June 17th 2007. The service was anything but professional,courteous, or helpful. The freestyle dining is a con. The buffet is closed from 2pm to 4:30pm with no other options to eat. No restaurants.. no nothing! However the bartender did offer me peanuts! There are 3 other restaurants on board that you can pay an additional fee of $10.00 to eat if you choose. The food on the ship is below average and is horrible in taste. I found hair in my food on many occasions. The soda and water is $2.00 each! The cleaning services are minimal... fresh towels and they make your bed. My room smelled of mold and bleach, trash from the previous guest under my bed, and they never cleaned the bathroom or changed the bed linens, or picked up the dirty dishes and glasses in our room, along with the soap dispensers always empty in the bathroom. The bed is old, hard, and very small. The linens are old as well. The service on the ship is not helpful. The staff is rude & very untrained. No one knows who is doing what & phones are hardly answered. The furniture on the ship is old and chipped. The ping pong tables were almost broken. The ship needs a major renovation along with a management team that is willing to train. The bars are flooded with teenagers so good luck trying to get a drink in under 20 minutes. We ended up eating off of the ship most of the time as the food was so bad. Overcooked fish, watery eggs,undercooked meat... you name it! Please do not waste your money on this cruise line. They have over 363 complaints with the BBB in FL in the last 12 months. With only 121 of them resolved. What does this tell you? I spent alot of money on my trip and I feel that NCL has conned me and others into believing their Freestyle dining experience and good customer service would be wonderful. It is anything but that. Also, if you choose to go to the spa... they will automatically add 15% to your bill for your convenience however this is not a tip. Thank you for the wonderful memories, NCL!!! You should be out of business and ashamed that you take money from people and conn them!
