I have been cruising for over 20 years and this was the first time I had ever cruised with Carnival. It was also the last. Our request for a table for two was ignored. When we mentioned this to the Head Waiter, her said he would see what he could do for the next night. At the end of the meal, we were so happy with our waiter and assistant waiter that we told the Head waiter to leave us where we were. Again, our request was ignored. He said the table had been reassigned. We watched every night and no one ever sat there. Our new waiters had no personality and made no attempt to be friendly (except the last night when tips were handed out), the location of our table was such that we felt we had been segregated from the rest of the people in the dining room, and the food was bland. My daughter is a vegetarian and had difficulty finding something to eat each night.

We signed up for the Whale Watching tour. Another disappointment. It turned out to be a long boat trip with no whales seen. As for entertainment, most of it (especially the comic) was unsuitable for children. Even my daughter, 18 at the time, found it distasteful. Carnival is supposed to be the Fun Ships. We found it far from that description. There were very few things scheduled throughout the day and they were all scheduled at one of two times. We got bored very quickly.

Sail on Carnival again? Not if it was the last cruise line in existence!
