We recently cruised the Alaskan Inside Passage on the "Spirit" ex Vancouver for 7 nights. The embarkation process was efficient. Our cabin was Cat 11 which is larger than most balcony cabins, we were very happy with it. The staff were all fantastic, they couldn't help us more. We prebooked our Shore Excursions on the internet with Carnival, and would probably do this once on board the next time we cruise. The entertainment was great, and the food in the Empress Dining Room was first class. We very rarely ate at The Lido buffet, as there were always alot of people, and once you had chosen your food there was quite often a problem finding a vacant seat. Some people were not aware that you could dine in the Empress for breakfast and lunch, as well as dinner and that during the day dress is totally informal and casual. We much preferred the food in the Empress, as dining was alot less hassle and the food was fantastic. We had dinner one night in the Supper Club, it is well worth the extra $30 per person, but only complaint is the noise coming from the Lido deck was sometimes very loud and spoilt the ambience. There were many different lounge areas and bars on board the "Spirit" and so there was no lack of places to sit and relax. We purchased the onboard video that was available at the end of our cruise, and this was definitely not worth the cost as it contained alot of interviews with fellow passengers which we were not interested in. We would definitely cruise on board the "Spirit" again, we thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night cruise and could quite easily have stayed on board longer!
