The most important thing I have learned about cruises is not to read the reviews until after you have taken yours. There were so many negatives about the Pride of America that I had wondered if I made a huge mistake. We just returned home Tuesday and I can say without hesitation that it was a magnificent cruise. Nearly everything was perfect, from beginning to end, it was a dream vacation.

Embarkation was quick and easy. We had to wait for our cabin since we arrived early but the crew of the Pride of America did everything to make the wait very pleasant. We were allowed to explore the open areas and there was food and drinks available.

Now having taken the cruise and seeing how hard the housekeeping staff works, I can see why there may be a waiting period before being allowed to go to your room. Anyone that complains should be ashamed. The staff has very little time to clean all the rooms before the new passengers arrive.
