Background Information:

We sailed on the 1st of April from the Fort Lauderdale Port. We flew in the day before and stayed at the Hilton Beach Resort. I had planned the trip for my husband's 50th birthday, I am 48. I had wanted to go all out with a nice hotel and did my research but the Hilton was a disappointment. The room was great, but for the price, I was not impressed with the hotel itself. We had a nice view of the ocean, but there was construction on both sides of the hotel, it was too far from the pier, and any other places if you didn't rent a car. Our trip started off a little shaky, with a plane delay, lost luggage, and our taxi driver taking us to the wrong pier! Had to laugh! Highly recommend flying in the day before, too risky to push it. One girl on the ship had missed the boat taking off by 20 minutes. It was her senior trip and she and her Mom had to fly to St. Thomas and meet the ship there on Thursday! Better to fly in ahead of time.

We have previously cruised one time on Celebrity. I had read many reviews before taking this cruise and really enjoyed reading about details so I will try to do that in this review.
