Just Returned from Nassau via Carnival Sensation. Having previously cruised with Royal Caribbean this was our first with Carnival. We chose this short cruise so our visiting 11 year old granddaughter could experience a cruise and their Camp Carnival sounded like something she would really enjoy.

Except for Camp Carnival I'm afraid this was really disappointing. Boarding went rather smoothly, unlike Royal Caribbean you are not provided a deck/ship map so unless you have a good memory of what you reviewed online finding your cabin is an adventure. We did ask several personnel if they had a deck plan or where we could obtain one and unfortunately they were not of any help. Finally located one at the Information/Purser's Desk. This ship is older, but I will have to say is has been kept up very well....the dark violet/purple colors does make all public interior areas very gloomy.

The cabin was a very pleasant surprise..older but tastefully decorated in neutral colors, much larger than anything in this class that RC can offer. We booked two ocean view cabins on deck 7/Empress deck, midship. The bathrooms were nicely appointed and larger than expected. The beds and linens were definitely as advertised, comfortable and inviting. Amble closet space for two or more people. Steward service was excellent. We could not find one negative thing to say about the cabins, truly.
