After reading some negative reviews about this cruise I decided it was time to give my own. This was my 20th cruise, my DH 10th. We booked at the last minute for a very good price thru an internet agency. Booked guaranteed booking HH cat and pleasantly surprised with a 7 cat upgrade to large outside cabin main deck. Room was large, clean and lots of storage space. We had a 8:30 main lower dining table of 10, all under age 65 and all complained first night about late hour of eating. By day 2 all had changed dinner time or opted to eat most nights in Lido, I can't blame older crowd for this. I would have guessed the average age was about 60 I'm 53 DH 61. I felt we fit right in.
Positives: Food was very good to excellent all meals. I was impressed with the Lido, felt the food was diverse and changed daily as other lines I have seen same things every buffet. Ate in Pinnacle 1 night well worth the extra $$$ We order room service 3 days but only coffee and pastry 2 days good 1 day coffee undrinkable. I liked the few number of children on the ship, especially teens. I left my 2 20 year olds at home and really did not need to see the running and horse play of others children which is so often seen on the "BIG ships" I thought the entertainment was very good the young company performed a wide range of show songs and Broadway musical tunes that we really enjoyed.
There was not a real lot of activities during the day but it was a very port intensive cruise so I would have expected this. Evening I felt some later activities could have been planned. It seemed everytime we went to the Piano Bar to see along or theme night tunes it had finished before our dinner had.
