Carnival Sensation - Bahamas

Sail Date: April 2007
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Port Canaveral

We had the most wonderful time aboard the Sensation. Service was excellent and the Shows were wonderful. It is definitely more of ship for young adults or families with school aged children or teens. First-time cruisers will love it.

The food is incredible in the dining room. Spareribs were incredible. Steaks were incredible. Seafood was delicious.

Some hints for an even better voyage: during disembarkation, find a quiet place to wait until your section is called to disembark. We sat by the windows in The Polo Lounge, and definitely had a much more enjoyable experience than others who sat in the hallways, etc. Also, if you are not travelling with children, the later (8'o clock) dinner time is much more relaxing and quiet as most children are in the earlier dinner hour.

Drink prices were much more reasonable than I expected.

The shore excursion to Atlantis Hotel in Nassau was well worth the visit.

The lounges and dance clubs are More wonderful. There is something different in every one of them from piano music, Karaoke, Rock Bands, to pop DJ's. The adult comedians are hilarious, but you must be willing to tolerate Adult language.

The vegas-style shows are incredible. "Curves" is wonderful. There is also a show that is phenomenal with a 70's/80's theme: the performers redo all the old MTV videos from that era, and it is a great show.

The only thing that we did not care for on our trip was the continuous picture taking that was occurring during our meals, etc. It seemed as though the photographers were pushing the pictures a lot.

We will definitely be taking another cruise in the near future. Less
