Our timing for this trip was carefully chosen so we could combine the 10-day Sea of Cortez itinerary with the Ryndam's repositioning to Vancouver for her summer Alaska season. Our logistics were marvelous in that we could drive to Vancouver from our Whidbey Island WA home, fly to San Diego, and then stay on the ship after our 10-day Mexico cruise for its 4-day trip back up the west coast to Vancouver. For cruisers who are not fond of air travel, this is a great way to go!
