The Sun Princess is in very good condition. She may be considered an older vessel, but Princess has maintained her very well. We enjoyed the Sun Princess Grand Canal 17 night voyage, beginning in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and ending in Seattle, WA
Embarkation: Ft. Lauderdale was quick and efficient. We are Platinum Card members so were able to go through the quick check-in and be one of the first on board. We stayed at the Hampton Inn on Sterling St. the night prior and were dropped at the pier by 11:15 a.m.
Food: Dining room food was very good. Horizon Court (I affectionately call it "The Hungry Heifer") was always packed with people, often causing delays in finding a seat once your tray was filled. We chose to eat almost every meal in the dining room being served with fresh hot food. The soups on that ship are great and the pizza was excellent, as well. Yum...the fresh rolls & bread were crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Over the 17 nights we had lobster tails twice, king crab legs split in half one night, beef tenderloin, strip steak, beef wellington, veal, and lamb and ya da ya da. Very tasty and well presented!
