Legend Review 4/29-5/6 Western Caribbean-Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize & Costa Maya Departing from Tampa Cabin 8A-4166 mid-ship This was my fourth cruise with Carnival and my husbands third. We are 27 & 38 and traveled with four other couples. We booked an 8A and chose cabin 4166, which was located mid-ship We booked using the military rate and paid 851.00 with all taxes and booked our airfare on our own. I monitored the rates on a few sites and was able to secure an onboard credit of $235 when I saw a lower cabin price on another site. A simple 5-minute call and the credit was offered and an email was sent confirming the credit. Carnival initially offered an upgrade but we since we were traveling with others and had side by side rooms we declined.

Airfare was booked with Southwest and we paid 294 for two roundtrip tickets from NH to Tampa. Closer to the trip an earlier flight was showing on the website and for $20.00 we were able to take that earlier flight. This allowed us to have a longer pre-stay in Tampa.

~Pre-stay Tampa- We chose the Embassy Westshore and received a military rate of $88.00 plus tax per night. The hotel offered complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. When we arrived in Tampa we retrieved our luggage and called the hotel, the shuttle service was there to get us in just under 15 minutes. The shuttle driver was really nice and offered us cold water and some great pointers on the area. The shuttle is available to take guest anywhere within a three-mile radius. They do not have transportation to the port but will gladly call a taxi for you in the morning. The cost for transportation to the port for four of us was $25.00. They do have cruise park/stay packages available where they will issue a port transportation voucher for those guest who drive to Florida.
