This was my third time cruising, first time on Princess. I had expected it to be nicer and have better food than our Carnival cruise, but I would have to say they were equal in those respects.

Fort Lauderdale: we stayed at the Riverside Hotel. I would say this was an ok hotel in itself. The room was tiny (smaller than our cruise cabin), and the common areas of the hotel are not air conditioned, which can get uncomfortable. It is very close to shopping and restaurants on Las Olas Blvd, which is convenient, but also noisy late into the night.

Embarkation: This was an easy and fast process. It was well organized, went quickly and no wait.
