My husband and I really enjoyed our kids free getaway on the Enchantment of the Seas. We are mid-30's and pretty experienced cruisers and travelers in general. I think this was my 15th cruise and my husband's 10th. We have previously cruised with Disney (we have 3 young sons), Holland America, Carnival, NCL and a few other lines that have since disappeared.
Embarkation was the smoothest and fastest we can remember. We flew in on an 8am flight, were in the terminal around 11 am and onboard by 11:30. We immediately went to make Chops and spa reservations and to check out our table assignment. Fortunately, we were able to change the latter from a large table to a terrific table for two by the window. We don't have much time to talk at home and really wanted some quiet dinners alone!
Our cabin was a larger inside on deck 7. It was sufficient for the two of us. The bed was hard but the linens were very nice. My biggest complaint was that the vanity/desk was terribly positioned. If you were sitting at the desk and someone was in the bathroom, they hit you when they opened the door. Also, sitting at the desk blocked all access to the closet for the other person. I peeked into another room just a few doors down and the vanity was farther down the wall which probably worked much better. Otherwise, the cabin was quiet and in a perfect midship location, convenient to everything.
