I have just returned from the Florida to Bahamas cruise on the Norwegian Spirit. This is my fifth cruise. The others cruises where on the Majesty, Zenith, Majesty, Navigator of the Seas, and the Spirit. The Spirit was by far my least favorite ship.

The check in was easy and the staff where helpful and friendly upon entering the ship. We had three balcony rooms with two of those connecting. The room was average size with a balcony that had two chairs and a small table. There where many problems with the room itself. Some of these included. The connecting door would not stay open since the magnet on one side of the door was gone. We had to place a slipper under the door to keep it open. The remote control to the T.V. set did not work, The phone did not work properly most of the time. I would call the connecting room and could see the phone but it would ring busy. This was reported but the problem was not fixed. The speaker in the room did not work so we would have to try to open the door in time to hear announcements. The coffee pot leaks on a towel under it is a good idea. We had to call twice to get the beds switched from queen size to twin. The room was cleaned twice a day. The morning person was very friendly however the guys we had in the evening was not rude in any way but he certainly was not friendly.

The shore excursion was friendly and helpful. We did the sea and fun day while in Florida which was at the Holiday Inn resort. That was an awesome place right on the beach with entertainment and food available. Since the end of the pier was a half a mile walk one way we decided to stay on the boat and skip Nassau. If you have any problems walking or health problems be aware that the pier is a mile walk total. We did see one trolly but it only came to pick up passengers once.
