We have done many transatlantic cruises and they never get old. Because Celebrity cancelled our December 10th 2006 caribbean cruise do to mechanical problems, they gave us a free cruise so we decided to do a back to back which worked out fine.

It is a lot easier leaving from Florida on the first day but you pay for it in a few ways.. You lose 6 hours during the cruise and after being well rested we took a 9.5 hour flight from Heathrow to Miami and then had a 4 hour drive home. I think it's better to fly to Europe to catch the ship and then gain the 6 hours back. It worked out fine tho.
