We set sail on the Caribbean Princess on April 15th 2007 out of Fort Lauderdale. This was our first cruise with Princess and will definitely not be our last! We travelled with my cousin and her husband and celebrated 2 Birthdays onboard.

I was hesitant about booking this cruise vacation at first due to the sheer volume of passengers the ship holds and the time of year. I just didn't know what to expect. My boyfriend and I were originally looking for a small boutique style hotel somewhere in the Southern Caribbean, but decided to join my cousin and her husband who were already booked on CB. We booked directly with Princess and could not be more pleased with our decision. We had a blast!! The ships size is so impressive that not once did I feel as though there were 3000+ people on board. Always plenty of loungers throughout the ship and plenty of seats in the dining areas. During one of the pool activities it was mentioned that there were upwards of up to 1200 kids on the previous weeks sailing due to spring break. The numbers weren't even close to half that on this sailing which was a bit if relief judging by some of the reviews I've read since returning. From what I saw the children on our sailing were really well behaved. I am also happy to report that the weather cooperated throughout our journey. Monday was overcast --we had a bit of rain in the afternoon, but that didn't deter anyone from enjoying the all the activities outside. The rest of the week was welcomed by blue skies and sunshine.

Embarkation: As other reviews state...quick, easy and quite pleasant. The shuttle arrived a little after 12:30, and there were probably already hundreds of people in line waiting to get into the cruise terminal. We found that it quickly began to move and were in our room no less than 30 minutes later. Our luggage followed soon after. We give Princess an A+ in this category because this was done extremely well..
