Background: This was our first cruise. It was a late celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. It is a memory we will always cherish, and one of the best vacations we have ever had!

Hotel: The day before our cruise, we drove to Galveston and stayed at the Hotel Galvez. It is a beautiful, old hotel. We were able to leave our car there while we were on our cruise for $12 for the entire week. They provided a shuttle bus to the port and picked us up when we returned back from the cruise. This was very nice and we didn't have to deal with all the cruise parking.

Ship: Ecstacy was a great ship! It has a New York City, Las Vegas dEcor. The ship is an older ship, but has been refurbished and is kept very nice and clean. Crew members were constantly cleaning on it. Read more
