MSC Lirica - Southern Caribbean
Just back from 11 nights on MSC Lirica (our very 1st cruise)!! we had a really long flight delay, but luckily the Ship waited for us and about 30 others.
We had cabin 8149 an inside cabin. It was lovely, clean & tidy plenty of storage space, and the beds were really comfortable. The only disappointing thing was to find no tea/coffee facilities). Our maids were excellent calling twice daily (could do with them at home) The shower was quite a tight fit but it did the job, plenty of hot water. (Shampoo & shower gel were complimentary) but we took our own anyway.
We were 2nd sitting for dinner, plenty of choice on the menu and the food was excellent, the only thing I would say was, it often turned up luke warm and we felt really rushed the whole time we sat there, as though they couldn't wait to get you away from the restaurant.Excellent service from all the waiters and they couldn't be more helpful.
Tried all the bars including the coffee place but More our favorite was The Lord Nelson its a great place as its the only bar where you can smoke. A special mention to Juan & Maria from the Lord Nelson Pub they were superb and made our cruise.
We felt the entertainment in the evenings was not very good, (except the pool party on the top deck) but it didn't spoil our cruise.
Our party were all English and we did find the announcements in the different languages annoying, but we got used to it.
We would travel with MSC Lirica again as it gives good value for money, but maybe next time would use an English/American line, just to see the difference.
Hope you enjoy your time on this ship as much as we did.
