This was our first cruise and we were directed by our Travel agent to travel with Carnival. We chose the cruise that we thought would be a great choice for our family. We left New Orleans Feb 1st 2004 to travel to the West Caribbean. We were a little disappointed on the temperature in New Orleans when we arrived. It was 53 degrees. But coming from MN and the -50 degrees with the windchill the week before it was warm enough.

We were very impressed with the organization of the Carnival cruise line. We were amazed at how they can get 4,000+ people on a ship in the amount of time they did. No hassles or wait as long as you had everything handy and filled out ahead of time.

The cruise was awesome. We traveled with our two children ages 10 and 7. The boys really enjoyed the Camp Carnival activities and the staff. Our youngest wanted to spend every moment with the Camp Carnival group. The employees throughout the ship were very accommodating to children. We had a great steward who kept us comfortable. We met a wonderful wait staff also who made our trip very enjoyable. His name was Ming. If you get the chance to meet him you will LOVE him. Our wait staff at dinner was also a treat. Ryan and Ni were the ultimate. They were always friendly and very informative.
