Our cruise was from April 14th to April 21st. We had no problem getting to the ship from the airport. For the first time we used a taxi and it was much faster and better than using the bus's that Carnival supplies. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived between bus's and got right through the process and on the boat in about 10 minutes. We did the normal tour around the ship to locate different areas and places we would be visiting. This took no time at all. We did find this trip to be heavy with kids and quiet loud alot of the time. Teens were running around and screaming and acting wild, most of the time there were no parents around. This in no way reflects on Carnival, but rather on the parents who couldn't be bothered with making their children behave. The food was good in general, but we have had better on the other Carnival ships we have been on. They only have 2 omelette lines in the morning and both have very long lines. It wasn't unusual to wait 15-20 minutes in line to get an omelette. The other two ships we have been on in the past had omelette lines at all the serving area's. Made things go alot faster. I think they really need to separate the salad line from the main buffet line. Alot of people were commenting that they just wanted to get a quick salad but had to wait in this long line. As well as people who were wanting to get hot food complaining about waiting behind the people just getting salad. Our servers in the London dining room were Anthony and Edmundo, they were really great. Anthony is a little confused on what noise's certain animals make, but it only added to a great combination of people seated at our table. We had wonderful table mates, however we heard alot of people on the excursions complaining about theirs or their servers. There was the normal lounger savers on this ship. I made it difficult for people to be able to have a place to lay in the sun. One day they had a couple of the upper decks blocked off due to very high winds and that made it even more difficult. We were usually up on the upper decks usually no later than 9am and had no real problem. My husband is a cigar smoker and we both really enjoyed the Oxford room. The red leather chairs were very comfortable. There seemed to be good ventilation in the room also. However it didn't make sense to have it in such an open area that people pass through on a regular basis. It was right off the Rome dining room and people would wait inside the Oxford to go eat dinner and of course they would complain about people smoking cigars.

I personally did not like the layout of this ship as well as the two we have traveled on in the past. Our first cruise was on the Sensation, and the second was on the Spirit. They both have much more exterior deck space to enjoy. I know Carnival changed the layout to get more balcony rooms, however it really limits the ability to have people be able to spread out more and not always feel like sardines stuck on a couple decks.
