Sungirl's Diamond Princess Review - Mexican Riviera - April 14-21, 2007 Captain Tony Yeomans Cruise Director Josh Dayboll

After 11 cruises on Princess I have decided the Diamond and Sapphire are my favorite ships to date.

EMBARKATION/DISEMBARKATION: I hired a private driver to take the three of us to the port from LAX. The cost was $55 each way including tip. The set taxi fare from the port to LAX was $53 according to the signage at the taxi stand. We were delayed boarding the ship because every 90 days the Immigration office checks every employee and this was one of the inspection days. We were the first group off the ship after the walk-off groups due to a noon flight out of LAX. No problem making a noon flight. I do recommend the LAX Renaissance hotel for a pre-cruise stay. My rate was $113 and the hotel is lovely. I usually stay at the Marriott, but I wanted a change of scenery.
