We just got back from our cruise on the Mediterranea from 3/18-3/25. It was fabulous. I wouldn't hesitate to sail on the Mediterranea again.

Ship was really amazing. At first it struck me as a bit gaudy but it really grew on me and by the end I could really appreciate it's elegance and uniqueness. It was clean beyond anything I have ever seen. Spotless is too mild a word. It was clean beyond reproach. The ship lay out makes sense after the first couple days. Like everything, you have to figure out the lay of the land. Once that is done, you could do it in your sleep. Outside, there was lots of room most of the time. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the sea going by.

Smoking was not an issue. Smoking areas are clearly delineated. The casino is smoky period but hey, it's a casino. Find me a casino in Vegas that isn't smoky. All bars had both areas and you could pretty easily avoid the smoky areas. Room had no hint of smoke though I am sure someone had smoked in there at some time.
