Cruise 2007 This was our fourth cruise and the third with Norwegian. We flew into Fort Lauderdale and took a taxi to our hotel in south beach a $75 plus tip Lots of women with large breast implants and major tattoos. We stayed one night in the Beacon hotel which is an older historic place, the room was about $170 a night. We spent the evening wandering the boulevard watching all the people go buy, all in all an interesting experience but once is enough. In the morning we wandered around and then took a taxi to the ship about $25 and were delivered in front of the terminal at about 11:30. We are Latitudes members and the embarkation process took about twenty five minutes, our bags were delivered in a timely manner and I would rate the whole experience as painless.

The ship is new; all the public areas are extremely nice and kept clean, the same can be said for the cabins. We had a category BB room with a balcony which was nice and served us very well, we enjoyed the balcony. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The service everywhere one the ship was great, always a smile and a warm greeting from everyone. The one exception for good service was the casino where you couldn't get a drink delivered to you and had to go get them yourself and when standing in line leaving the ship I read a sign that said drinks were half priced when playing but we were always charged full price. I think they would do well to lower the cost of playing the slots, the price to play was high and the odds were set tight, the chance of winning was small. People were fighting to play the three cheap machines, while most of the others sat idle.

The bad thing about our cruise was we didn't think about school being out for Easter vacation and the ship was over run with kids and I do mean over run. They were most everywhere and out of control. Their parents let them roam the ship alone and they formed small gangs that made areas like the pool unusable for adults. I saw fourteen year old boys spitting up into the wind so that it sailed across the ship hitting people on the other side who were eating. I paid way too much money for the trip to have to put up with this kind of behavior, PLEASE PEOPLE LEAVE YOUR UNCONTROLLED MONSTERS AT HOME!! Fortunately most of the families ate their meals in the Garden Cafe, we ate several meals there but only when forced to by shore excursion time constraints. Kids were always running in the main aisle ways and because it's cafeteria style you have to carry your food to a table, a dangerous situation, I almost spilled hot coffee on a five year old that was doing deep knee bend jumps as she ran in the aisle. I think the crew should have done something to control the kid's behavior but were afraid they would upset future cruise possibilities with the families. By doing nothing they have lost my wife and I. This was our third cruise with Norwegian and will be our last.
