REVIEW OF JEWEL OF THE SEAS CRUISE 4/1-4/7 6 NIGHT WESTERN CARIB.
We are: 51yo, 47yo and 8yo. Our 3rd cruise, all with RCI. Second time on the JOS. The ship was full, with 700 kids 17y.o. and younger, but it was Easter /Passover/Spring Break...but didn't seem that way or very crowded. General demographics were broad ranging from young families, to seniors....a nice mix.
We started this cruise by spending 2 days with my parents in Ft. Lauderdale. We found this makes us less tired day of sailing, highly recommended! We took a cab to the port at 11am, at the port and with priority boarding we were on the ship by 12:15pm. The doors to the hall way were closed so we went to the windjammer. We had no problems finding a table and bucking the lines of people, but we were the first few on the ship, by 1:00 it was a zoo. RCI should open another lunch venue to ease the crowds. We had our fill. Lunch was not bad. We went to our room.
