Carnival Conquest - Western Caribbean
Destination: Western Caribbean
Emb: it was as smooth as it can get. there were the usual long lines and security procedures. only problem was that our card issuer was 90+ and took so long the lady next to him got trough 2 groups.
Public rooms: they were clean.
fitness_ to get to the gym you have to get through people trying to enroll you at carnival spa.
cabin: cabin was awesome. it was a good size.
dining: it was good but the last cruise i went on the food was so much better. to much country food since we left from galveston. dress code was never enforced so people came the way they dress at home with sandals, T-shirts, and cowboy hats. country influence.
ent: awful. this cruise was the pit of boredom between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00. nothing to do for ages of 13-15. i had nothing to do but waste money on the arcade. 2 shows were good: the first More dancer shows and the juggler/ventriloquist. what made it worse was that when you won a little contest points were added to your team color( depended on your table location) and people wouldn't shut saying "go red or white team" so i left.
serv: service was excellent. you were addressed by name if they knew it and were respectful.
shore ex: only one we took ( all other stops were on our own) was in G Cayman. We took Capt. Marvins but it wasn't really enjoyable because of sea conditions but if it weren't for that it would've been awesome.
Jamaica: we went to the sunset beach resort that was half the price that carnival offered for a different resort. our cab driver hubert was a govt cab driver so he was safe and toured the central city and showed us the safe shoppers. if someone offered you drugs it is probably for wandering off the police patrolled tourist areas.
Carnival was fun the last time but until this ship leaves the Galveston country influence city won't be a nice cruise for all that can't stand country music, country music, and country dressing. Less
