Our family just returned from our week on the Grand Princess. We traveled with our 20 year old daughter and 12 year old son. There were plenty of activities for all of us. My son loved the tennis court, arcade, soda card, and new friends.
Embarkation was easy, lines went fast. We arrived around 1:00 and buffet lunch was open, along with the pizza and burger station. We had a mini suite and it was comfortable for the 4 of us. The balcony was great, except for the people in the cabin next to us smoked cigars pretty regularly.
We were on Emerald deck and the cabins were quiet except for the nights they had bands in the Vista Lounge. If you go to bed before ll:00 you can hear the music and the vibrations can keep you up. Vista lounge is on deck 7 and Emerald is on deck 8. Cabin steward always had fresh towels and worked around our comings and goings.
