This was out 22nd cruise and out 8th with Carnival. San Juan is a great place to cruise out out of. We flew in late the night before and stayed at the Radisson Ambassador Hotel. We got up took a cab to the Ship and were onboard by 12:30. Boarding was easy and well done. Our rooms were not ready so we went up to the lido deck for lunch. Lunch was typical of any embarkation day luck. After lunch we went to our rooms then heading out to old San Juan and visited the fort. San Juan was extremely busy but still a great day. We went to the CVS and picked up some drinks around 5 then headed back onboard. I wish they had a separate line for reentry as we had to go through the same line as others checking in for the first time.

We went to the beach on Both stops in St Martan as well as St Thomas for a nice day of relaxation. Then 2 sea days before heading back to Orlando. The Sea days got a bit old as there was nothing new compared to previous cruises. The food overall was good and we were very pleased with the Dining room as well as the Lido buffer. Seedy Brunch was a disaster as it seemed liked they were not prepared and it took forever. Debarkation was a breeze, we took the Hertz shuttle to our rental car where we went to Universal for 3 days which was great. Overall please with the cruise but will take a break from Carnival for a cruise or so and hope they bring some new things for the long sea days.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8A

Rooms were very clean and location was OK. Being near the elevator sometimes you would hear people yelling late at night, we had 2 balcony cabins and had the divider open so it felt like a suite. The mattress was hard as a rock and took a bit to get used to but we did. Carnival rooms are always roomy and well laid out.
