So it was a family cruise and me and my brother wanted single cabins, this is where the EPIC got us to book due to their studio cabins. I was dreading going on the ship since the reviews were all over the place. I have resided the last few years in Beverly Hills and recently moved to Miami to be near my family, including my 95 year-old grandmother who wanted to take this cruise.

THE CABIN:

I had never had a cabin without a balcony and was dreading it. This cabin was damn cool. While it is compact, the lighting and design was killer! I think in this aspect, NCL hit it out of the park! I had sailed on the NCL Sun and just thought of it as mediocre. They hit a home run with these studio cabins and won our business. So, I cannot comment on balcony rooms as I did not have one, but guess what? I will be sailing the EPIC on a Transatlantic and will have a balcony! So excited! My particular room steward was excellent as I never saw him the entire cruise - loved that!

Cabin T1

The ambiance lighting was killer. My brother had another one of these and he kept reminding me how the ambiance lighting reminded him of his new car's lighting. I have to admit, it was lovely. The bedding headboard and sideboard was white leatherette and reminded me of being inside a cool club or maybe an insane asylum! All jokes aside, it felt like I had a chamber on a space ship or a really posh-designed G6 with its circular porthole looking out to the hallway (which of course I always closed off). Highly recommend this cabin category!
