A little background: DH and I are both 26. This was our 11th cruise, our 8th on Carnival. We live in Orlando, Florida and booked this cruise very last minute.

This was a repositioning cruise. It started in Florida (Port Canaveral), went to St. Thomas, St. Kitts, St. Maarten, and Tortola, and ended in San Juan. We had an interior cabin, midship on Deck 1. We usually prefer balconies, but I couldn’t pass up the price for interiors on this cruise. It was actually nice to have an interior. We were hardly in the room. This room was much cooler than our previous balconies too, so that was a plus.

We left our house around noon to head to Port Canaveral. Got there around 12:45. We were on the ship at 1:05. Check in was quick and painless. Side note: The people next to us in line were able to sail only with their birth certificates. I don’t know the laws, but I was under the impression that repositioning cruises required passports, even if both the start and end ports are U.S. ports. Guess I was wrong about that ☺

Good location between forward and mid elevators. Room was quiet. AC worked quite well.
