First ever cruise with a party of 7. It was me, my dh, dd (17), ds (14), MIL, SIL and her partner. Had 3 balcony cabins on deck 12.

Allure is amazing! Despite being full the ship is big enough to disperse the crowds. Things we loved were the main dining room, the cabin and balcony, Chicago, Ocean Aria, solarium, sport court for the 14 year old, St. Thomas, St. Martin, the comedy show, our fellow passengers and the majority of the staff. Did speciality dining one night at Chops. Service was excellent! My food was ok but those who had steak loved it!

Things we didn't like. The drink plan is a mess! Everyone in our group except me and dh ordered the rr package. Sometimes my kids were allowed nonalcoholic drinks and other times they were not. Depending on where we were eating and the bartender. It is my understanding that non alcoholic drinks were included in their package. Never received a clear explanation on why there was confusion on the staffs part. They were allowed bottled water (crystal geyser spring water). DH ordered the beer/wine package. Complete waste of money unless you are only drinking massive amounts of beer all day every day. His did not include bottled water but he could have soda. This seems to be the worst of all the plans! Some days he was able to drink a 12.00 glass of wine and other times he was told he could only have a glass that was 8.00 or less. On several occasions we were billed for the extra 2.00 without being informed that it would be extra. I had the pp package which is the second most expensive. I probably came up short on what I paid versus what I drank but I also liked the convenience of not having to worry about my liquor bill. I mostly drank a peach Bellini every morning (maybe 2), mango coladas, bloody Mary's or wine during the day and always wine at dinner. Later in the cruise I discovered the champagne bar which I really enjoyed. I also had bottled water and pellagrino sparkling water. On the last day I was denied a pellagrino saying it was not on my plan despite that I had drank them all week. Waiter was clueless then proceeded to tell my daughter that she could have one. Royal Caribbean really needs to improve the drink plan and clearly state what is and isn't included in the drink plan.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Great cabin with nice size balcony. Our room steward, Noel was the best!! Made us towel animals on 3 different occasions and often used my husbands sunglasses as a prop. Cabin was quiet and a good location especially for our son who used the sport court quite a bit.
