While reading some of the reviews here, I can probably guess the ages of the reviewers! I am sorry to read the "elitist" attitudes from many. Cruises are for EVERYONE and if you feel like you deserve special treatment, then PLEASE, don't go!!

That being said, We are a young 60 year old couple, first time cruisers and though we enjoy a different type of vacation, we decided to experience a cruise. Booked through an agent, and the only issue I wish I had understood better was open dining vs. seated dining and table choices. We were seated at a table for 8, We enjoy meeting/talking to many people. Unfortunately, of the 3 other couples, who were pleasant enough, we only actually "liked" one of the couples. I would have preferred different people each evening. Late dining was difficult, as we would not be finished until a minimum of 2 hours later, and were not able to enjoy the 9:00 show..so had to hurry things up in the late afternoon to see the 7:00 show when we would have preferred to sit out on the Sunset Bar with a cocktail. We decided to eat at the buffet 2 of the evenings because it was just too late to eat. The food was great (and we both come from the industry), service was excellent, dishes arrived quickly, which was outstanding due to the variety/amount ordered by 8 people! I would recommend a table for 4, as you can be served more quickly and be able to enjoy the evening activities instead of being over fed and tired at 10:30 pm! We did not spend extra on the specialty restaurants..we have been to many in out lifetime, so it just didn't appeal to us.

Our cabin was lovely, concierge class with a small balcony. Plenty of room, enjoyed coffee and pastries in the morning in peace. Our attendants were sweet young men working hard for their 7 month commitment! Plenty of storage, bed was comfy, and I did use a sound machine as I "need" white noise, but other than some noise a couple of nights, no issues with sleeping!

Concierge Class 3

Get a balcony!! We were on deck 6..easy access to everything, enjoyable view, less boat motion.
