I have taken 25 cruises(three with Azamara) and this was by far our worst cruise experience. Our toilets did not flush for 1 1/2 days. If this was not bad enough , we were were not originally compensated as everyone else was who experienced this misfortune. I had to go through 2 days of addtional aggravation before I was able to convince guest relations that our toilets were out as long as anyone elses. If we did without toilet facilities why quibble whether our service was out for 18, 19 or 20 hours?

I also had an verbal argument with a crew member who was rude and very disrespectful(personal trainer in the gym).I reported this to the head of spa services who listened to me in a very patronizing manner. She never followed up with me. Does anyone in Azamara's guest relations receive any training?

The tour department seemed to have little or no knowledge of places being visited. Two of the three tours that we took with them were easily the worst tours we have taken from a cruise ship. One of them a "coastal drive" in Golfito, Costa Rica consisted of driving one mile at most and the driver leaving the bus for 30 minutes to gather various flora to show the captive members on the bus. All this cost us over $79 a person. Their "Amazing Evening" event was an" amazing disaster". 550 people were first taken to the Bio-diversity museum(which was interesting which is small and cannot accomodate that number of people. We were then taken to a show (lasted 22 minutes)that I still have trouble describing what it was? My wife used the terms "new age acrobatics" and I will go with her terminology. The problem was it had nothing to do with the culture of the country we were in(Panama). Does anyone in the tour department check out any of the destinations before hand?

The physical layout of the cabin was fine but the toilet did not work for part of the cruise.
