Overview This was my first trip with NCL. We chose the Spirit because it left from New York City. I have quite a few cruises under my belt and felt that there really never is a "Bad" cruise, so I did not research the ship before embarkation. This turned out to be a grave error on my part.

Although most reviews on this board are pretty favorable of the Spirit; something drastic must have changed on this ship since those reviews were written. Consensus on the ship while out at sea seemed to agree with my disappointment. Especially those people I spoke with that had been on other NCL Ships. They all said that ours was a disappointing trip.

Dining There are two main dining rooms onboard Norwegian Spirit: the Garden Room and Windows. Windows is our top pick and is actually one of the most breathtaking spots on the ship, sitting at the aft end of Deck 6. The servers in this dining room were of the best we found on the ship. They were happy, cordial, and knew what it was they were serving us and could explain it when we asked.
