My hubby and I took our very first cruise, with Thomson on the Celebration. We boarded in Barbados after a 9 hour flight on the lovely Dreamliner aircraft, this is the latest plane in their fleet, and its roomy and comfortable with all mo cons. However on arrival at port, we had to register, for our arrival onto the ship, which was a bit slow,.

We were afforded a partial view nothing was too much trouble. of what we thought was our ship through a window, it looked very impressive, but was in fact from another company 'Celebrity Cruises ,and twice the size of ours which was the much smaller older ship behind it .. ah well.

The overall first impression of the interior of the Thomson Celebration was dated decor, a little drab and tired, although it was spotless.

Cabin Review

Cabin outside cabin

The cabin was cramped and due to two bunks folded against the walls, we had to walk sideways down the small space at each side of our bed, to get into it noisy and lots of vibration . One european plug socket wedged behind a screwed down dressing table lamp, not ideal!, plenty of hangers , wardrobe space ok and about 8 drawers. Bathroom had a storage cabinet with a mirror, which was also very useful. again decor was average. The air con was a little too cold, and could not be altered, so we werewearing extra layers in bed !!
