Overall, a great trip for my family of 4. As the reviews state, the staff are terrific - we didn't encounter one person on staff who wasn't exceptional. I've been on a 14 day cruise and a 4 day cruise - a 7-day was a first and I was surprised at how many 60+ cruisers there were. We're a little ahead of spring break so there weren't as many kids as I'd hoped but I wasn't surprised. Lots of Northern CA folks - I kept hearing 90% of us were from the Bay Area - am not sure how true that was but overall a good crowd, full ship.

SF:

Coolest thing, given we live here, was going under the Golden Gate bridge on such a tall ship and seeing SF from the other side.

Cabin Review

Cabin D

I was a little worried with 4 of us and no balcony - plus the reviews said the Plaza rooms were underneath the Casino (true) and may be noisy (untrue). I was pleasantly surprised because this cabin was at the end of a hallway so there was virtually no hallway noise despite an Administrative office nearby. Couldn't believe how quiet it was. By the end of the cruise, I noticed a hum of an engine or air conditioning but that's all. Plus, a lower level cabin was much better in that there wasn't much motion - another bonus. With 2 bunk beds and 2 twin beds underneath, it was awkward at times but only at night when we were all in there together. The bottom twin beds move so we could push the beds together - which we tried for one night. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms are fine - flat screen TV was also nice with a decent number of selections. Overall, very happy with the cabin.
