So normally I'm a huge researcher when it comes to vacations as I don't have much to spend on them and I want the most bang for my buck. Everyone told my boyfriend and I it would be a good idea to go on a cruise and seeing as we had never been we decided to go. I booked a 5 day cruise that stopped at Yucatan and Cozmel. I had been all over the carnival website looking at what things they had to do on the ship and it seemed like a lot. However, this was not the case! First off the website did a really bad job at letting you know what is on the actual ship you will be boarding. I have notice that the issue with that has been solved by carnival! Secondly, during the day other then a few pool side contest or some trivia there is really nothing to do! My fiance and I aren't big pool people and the trivia was a little out dated and boring, so it left us with no choice but to spend money in the casino or spend all day eating. It would have been nice to have more to do, like maybe a movie theater or something like that. We went on the cruise with my father in law and his wife and they said the same thing. They both have been on at least 30 cruises but never on this boat and they do not recommend it now either. They were really upset that it was a boring as it was specially being it was our first cruise ever and they were the ones to convince us to go. I will say though I will not be going on the elation ever again, I did enjoy many aspects of cruising and plan to cruise again just on a different boat.
