We cruised FOS 3/15-3/22 as a family of 5. Had connecting balcony cabins on deck 6.

This is our 5th cruise; 2 on Carnival & 3 with RCCL. Everyone asks so here is my take on Carnival vs RCCL. I think they are both good products & very similar in quality overall. Carnival food is better & RCCL entertainment is better. More wow factor on RCCL with flow rider , skating rink, etc but I think Carnival Magic is an awesome ship too. Felt more nickeled & dimed on RCCL with such an emphasis on specialty restaurants. Why charge for Johnny Rockets??? $25 pp for new mexican Sabor restaurant really?? We have been to many nice mexican restaurants but never have come close to $125 tab for a family of 5. We skipped it. Honestly we would be content on either line if comparing some of the newer carnival vessels.
