Despite the food being disappointing, we enjoyed the first segment of our cruise to Hong Kong. However our time onboard the Sojourn from Hong Kong to Singapore was most unpleasant. The cabin forward of us was occupied by heavy smokers and it made our balcony unusable. We experienced the pungent smell of cigar smoke (from the deck below) whilst eating lunch in the Colonade. We could find nowhere to sit outside on deck in the shade where there were not people smoking. The Observation lounge was also used by smokers in the evening. This is not the first Seabourn cruise we have taken, but it will certainly be our last unless Carnival decide to operate a tighter smoking policy. If you have a respiratory issue, I would think twice before choosing Seabourn.

I should add that the internet is very very poor on the ship. The crew describe it as one star, I am not sure I would be so generous. Other lines manage to provide better service, sometimes for free and Carnival is apparently unable to get any better bandwidth on its new ship to be launched next year.

Veranda Suite

Comfortable bed, good storage, nice bathroom. Only negative would be the constant clicking of the latches on all the cupboards - which can be heard from rooms next door as well as your own.
