We had a Family of 13 on the NCL Dawn for Spring Break (March 15, 2015). Our family has been on a few Carnival Ships, but this was our first exposure to Norwegian and we were excited to try a new cruise line. We have been on several Carnival Conquest Class ships (Conquest, Liberty, Valor, Triumph) and so that is our frame of reference:

Embarkation/Debarkation: Smooth and no problems, maybe slightly better than Carnival.

Cabins: We had some with a balcony room that slept 4, and the room size looked the same or slightly better than Carnival. My family had a 3 person cabin, and it was really small. When the 3rd person bed is extended, you can't access the balcony. I did like the bathroom much better, the shower pressure and shower door were awesome.

Balcony

Cabin BB

Man was this cabin small, it felt very cramped with 3 people. Can't even go to the balcony when the 3rd bed is extended. I did love the bathroom design and the fact that the shower has a door rather than curtain, and the water pressure was awesome.
